Development Authority of St. Marys

Meeting Schedule
1st Wednesday of Every Month
5pm; Main Street Office

City Council established the Development Authority in 1979 “to further the goals of developing and promoting the public good and general welfare, trade, commerce, and industry and employment opportunities in the City of St. Marys.” The Development Authority of St. Marys (DASM) was deeded property to the north and east of the St. Marys Airport after its formation, which the Authority used to create the St. Marys Industrial Business Park. The DASM still owns approximately 50 acres to the north of the St. Marys airport. This specific property was utilized by the City after Hurricane Irma to store abandoned vessells and debris until the City was granted the right to dispose of the vessells.
