GIS Services - Geographic Information Systems

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is beyond just mapping.  It is a tool used to improve efficiency of local government by making information more readily available to public allowing improved management of assets and the ability for City employees to locate referenced information in a more efficient manner,  This data is tied geospatially to a location and connected by a reference or physical reference, such as by address, tax parcel number, or GPS coordinates.

Some of the more actively maintained GIS layers include addresses, roads, zoning, DFIRM (flood map layers) and City boundaries.  We also house a variety of other datasets including water, sewer, wet lands and stormwater layers.

Printed maps are available for purchase upon request in our office.

A variety of online viewable maps are available on the community development pages and links to some of these can be found on the tab listing on the left of this page (Including a link to Camden County's Q-Public website).  Alternatively, a gallery is located just below that displays current public maps.

If you have any questions, requests, or suggestions regarding GIS & mapping services please note the contact information on the left.
